Well-Lit Streets and Safe Families

Functional lighting on every residential block and full support for the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office.

What does Lupe Negrete propose for street lighting and neighborhood safety?

Lupe Negrete will champion an emergency LED lighting overhaul program across Precinct 4 colonias, combined with increased budget allocations for equipment, patrols, and faster response times for the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office.

Dark Streets and Inadequate Patrols

Walking home from school bus stops or returning late from work should never put our residents at risk. Currently, dozens of street lights across Precinct 4 remain dark for months without proper county service.

Darkness creates blind spots that invite criminal activity and increases traffic hazards. The safety of our families starts with bright street lights and active law enforcement visibility.
